Karate do Wado ryu
Singapore

My name is Cristian, Italian, 3rd dan black belt Karate Wado ryu and instructor legally recognized by national Italian Federation CONI CSEN. I began to practice Karate when I was about 8 years, long time ago...

Growing up it became pure passion and discipline and wearing the Karate gi a way to learn the noble art of traditional Karate. Lesson by lesson, year by year and belt by belt: yellow, orange, green, blue, and brown..and finally the most ambitious goal: the black belt 1st dan under the careful training of Sensei and dear friend Giuliano Clinori, actually black belt 6th dan Karate Wado ryu and President of the National Italian Federation CSEN. Things changed: the black belt was not a goal only, but a starting point to learn more and deeply the Karate.

Also, a lot satisfactions and victories in national and international competitions, together with defetas, but a bad accident during an international competition in 1997, forced me to give up..it was over..
But no, the instructor and friend Giuliano Clinori asked me to help him in training: it would have been a shame to throw away all those years of efforts! I realized immediately that training gave me the same satisfaction than winning an important competition..and even more.

I kept on training and learning and finally achieved the black belt 2nd dan under the careful direction of Sensei Renzo Grigio, 7th dan and National Director of I.M.A.D.A. (international martial art Dojo association) and two years later the black betl 3rd dan and degree of instructor (which will be translated by CONI CSEN National Federation). In 2015 Sensei Renzo Grigio died, leaving a huge emptiness in me and in the history of the italian Karate Wado ryu.
Rest in peace Sensei Renzo, I will always miss you..oss!

Now I am a resident in Singapore, and Karate Wado ryu is always with me, under my skin. So I decided to set up my own school of Karate Wado ryu, following what my teachers taught me and bringing in town the Wado ryu style, which is not present at all. Thanks to the dear friend Andrea Costantini, President of the Italian club, lessons began in our Dojo on the 3rd of February 2015.

Everybody is welcome.

A special thanks to Sensei Giuliano Clinori and Sensei Renzo Grigio, for everything you taught me, in Karate as in life.
And a special thanks to the dear friend Andrea Costantini who helped and supported me in this adventure
